Maybe because winter is coming, and extra heating will be nice, I found myself installing cpuburn
lala@lala:~$ sudo apt-get install cpuburn
First thing putting a lot of stress on your CPU can easily damage your hardware. so I just wanted to try it, to see how it worked, to know that it can be a good tool when having a server, since there you need to know its limits, how does it handle heat conditions, since is not nice to know it when you are in production. So more or less, till 70-80C is kind of ok, if the machine is stable there probably will last long, if it goes higher …mmm….
So I didn’t play much on my laptop with it since, it went to 85C, maybe on the limits, but did not want to find out that temperature could continue rising 😉
